gow copy.jpg

A giant beast in the folklore of the Ozarks, the gowrow is a huge dragon-like creature, about twenty feet long, with thick green scales, two front legs with terrible claws, and enormous tusks in its jaws. The tail ends in a blade.
Gowrows are carnivorous and eat any large animals they can find, including humans. The live in caverns and under rock ledges.
The name “gowrow” comes from the vocalizations they make: “GOW ROW!”
