Christmas Countdown 2017: The Bumble Lip Pop!

So the other day, as I am inclined to do when faced with lots of inexpensive Christmas novelties, I got some fun Christmas candy:

I have tried a Lip Pop before but forgot to take photos. Or if I did I forgot where I saved them.
So here we go.

Halloween Countdown 2017: Doombuggy Maintenance Technician Costume!!

I had dearly hoped to have a Halloween party this year, but…it just wasn’t in the cards. To make up for it, our friends Kenny and his son Kent had us come over this past weekend for a Halloween-ish get-together. We worked on costume and craft projects and watched Harry Potter movies (which always seem to be on TV whenever we go to their house) and had good food and fun.

Usually they set me up in front of the tv with a table, since I am almost always drawing. Right here we were watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (the best, as far as I’m concerned) and I was catching up on my Drawlloween entries.

Kenny and Kent went all-out on the decor; note the Darth Vader pumpkin as the centerpiece, R2-D2 brownie and light saber pizza cutter. 😀
I am SERIOUSLY jealous of that tablecloth.

Halloween Countdown 2017: FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH!!!

Well, how could I let the ULTIMATE Friday the 13th go by without posting my hellacious pic of getting choked by Kane Hodder? He’s one of the biggest, baddest dudes in the horror industry and an amazing example of getting through tough times. Bullied and tormented as a kid, he grew up to be a powerhouse of a stuntman only to be burnt severely in a stunt mishap that nearly killed him. The entire story of his long and excruciating recovery, the emotional and physical damage it caused, his fight to break back into the industry and the success of landing the role of Jason Vorhees, is all told in his book, Unmasked–True Life Story of the World’s Most Prolific Cinematic Killer.
He’s another hero of mine–the amazing Kane Hodder! Happy Friday the 13th, everybody!!!!

RIP, my Insect Friend.

Just damn.

Our dear friend Clay Croker died this past Saturday. You may know him as C.Martin Croker. Read all about him on the link–he did so much, and I am still trying to come to grips with this.

Clay and me.jpg

Clay and Steve and I shared a passion for animation, but Clay and I also connected over our love for monsters. I loved to pester him to talk to me in Zorak’s voice whenever we visited him at a con. The last time I saw him was at Monsterama 2015; usually we see him at Dragon Con every year but this year he did not attend.
Reading all our animator friends’ tributes to him on social media has been wonderful;I just can’t stand that this had to happen for so many great tales to be shared.
I still cannot believe he’s gone.
