Halloween Countdown 2017: So I caved and got a Zombie from Starbucks.

I have zero interest in coffee from Starbucks. If that’s your thing, that is totally fine; I have plenty of stuff I spend my money on that people would tilt their heads like puzzled terriers about. I’ve also never really been one for “flash sales” of things. But, when I heard about the Zombie drink thingy from Starbucks, I thought, what the heck, I will add it to this year’s Halloween fun experiences.

From the Starbucks website:

Walk, run or drag one foot with your arms outstretched to grab one of our limited-time Zombie Frappuccino┬« Blended Beverages. It’s more treat than trick with delicious apple and caramel flavors.

I got the smallest size and even then the barista took off a dollar,so it was $4.

Halloween Countdown 2017: FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH!!!

jason13.jpg
Well, how could I let the ULTIMATE Friday the 13th go by without posting my hellacious pic of getting choked by Kane Hodder? He’s one of the biggest, baddest dudes in the horror industry and an amazing example of getting through tough times. Bullied and tormented as a kid, he grew up to be a powerhouse of a stuntman only to be burnt severely in a stunt mishap that nearly killed him. The entire story of his long and excruciating recovery, the emotional and physical damage it caused, his fight to break back into the industry and the success of landing the role of Jason Vorhees, is all told in his book, Unmasked–True Life Story of the World’s Most Prolific Cinematic Killer.
He’s another hero of mine–the amazing Kane Hodder! Happy Friday the 13th, everybody!!!!

You can “BOOP”!

Friends, I go to one of two Targets in my area EVERY day. No, I’m not driving there on a special trip; it’s simply that my daily morning errands always end right at a Target. So,I’m able to really keep up with what’s shakin’ in their Halloween department, or “Booporium”, this year.

I am Left-Handed!

Last week my brother Scott told me a fascinating story. Apparently I was born left-handed,and my grandmother was constantly taking crayons & stuff out of my left hand and putting them in the right hand. He remembers this very clearly, and my dad confirmed it. Dad went on to tell me that 1) He himself used to drive his golfing buddies crazy putting right-and-left handed, and 2) Grandaddy (his father) did almost everything but writing with his left hand as dominant.

In Grandmother’s defense, we are both certain she was just trying to make things easier on me; after all, it’s a right-handed world out there. But Scott and I were on the subject of “parents trying to get you to go down a path you’re just not meant to go, even if they truly want what is best for you”, and this just sort of was an epiphany for me. Allow me to explain:
